Album: Snow LeopardSnow Leopards are generally found among the crags and ridges of mountain steppes at altitudes of 10,000 to 15,000 feet, although they occasionally go even higher. They can bring down Yak or wild Asses, but more commonally hunt smaller prey like goats, marmots and hare.
Endangered accross their entire range of central Asia, the Himilayas, and Russia due to severe poaching for their fur, it is estimated that only 4000-7ooo remain in the wild.
The photographs shown here are of a captive pair housed in Montana and were shot in the open fields around Bozeman.

Album: PandaThe Giant Panda is found in the wild only in remote mountain areas of China. While instantly recognizable as the symbol of wildlife conservation, the animals own future is far from secure. Because of it's extremly limited diet of a variety of bamboos, it's potential habitat is limited and constantly shrinking due to human encroachment. The images in this album were taken at the Wolong Nature Preserve and the Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding and Research Base, both of which are located in Sichuan Province. Changed: 03/31/2007
